Salient features

 

Sone  Canal System is one of the oldest canal system in the country. It is in operation since 1874. Originally anicut was constructed near Dehri on river Sone with canal off taking from either side of it.

The Sone Western Link Canal Hydroelectric Project is utilising exiting fall of 3.87 meters on Sone Western Link Canal (SWLC) km. 10.12(RD 33.20) near it confluence with Sone Western main canal for generation of Hydroelectric Power.
